Harding “Blacks Out” St. George’s!

The Harding Lions played a dominating first half on the way to a 41-21 win over the St. George’s Gryphons. Harding’s fans showed their school spirit by dressing to “black out” the opposing team and were treated to an exciting victory over a team that won the State Championship last year. To add excitement, this game was Fox 13’s Game of the Week and was covered in their Friday Night Blitz! The Lions are now 4-1 with a week off coming up.

Lion Fusion 2008

Lion Fusion, an event sponsored by the Parent’s Club to promote unity between the students at all locations, was held Friday afternoon before the game. The Varsity Cheerleaders joined in the fun by providing free face painting to children of all ages. After Lion Fusion, the fun moved to the football field where the Varsity Cheerleaders were joined by the Junior High and Elementary All-Star squads. The fans also got into the fun by wearing red to support the football team. Although the Lions lost a hard-fought game to University School of Jackson Bruins by a 24-31 margin, school spirit certainly won the night!

Varsity Cheer Opens Home Season

The Harding Lions played their home opener Friday night against the SBEC Trojans in front of a large, blue-clad crowd of fans. On a perfect night for football, Harding’s Varsity cheerleaders enthusiastically led the fans in cheering for the Lions. Joined by a newly enlarged Pep Band, the cheerleaders performed the fight song each time the Lions scored. The Lions won by a convincing margin of 34-21 and have now opened up a 3-0 record and are 1-0 in Division 2-A.

Cheerleaders travel to Nashville to support Lions Football

The Harding Lions football team played Donelson Christian Academy Friday night, Aug. 29 in Nashville at DCA’s home field. The visiting Lions had a great crowd of fans that also made the trip to see the Lions defeat the Wildcats by a 27-10 margin.

Monday 3:30-5:30 at Storm Gym in Cordova (white T/ red Soffes)
Tuesday 3:00-5:00 at Harding Cherry Rd. Elementary Gym (red T/ gray Soffes)
Thursday 3:00-5:00 at Harding Cherry Rd. Elementary Gym (gray T/ blue Soffes)

White 4″ Spandex should be worn under all Soffes.
