Volleyball Banquet

November 14th, 2008

The end of the season volleyball banquet was held Thursday, November 13 at Bartlett Woods church of Christ. A filling meal and delicious dessert was enjoyed by all and the traditional team picture for Sisson gym was unveiled. Charlie Dennis was recognized as the official “Fan of the Year” by the Lady Lions. Thanks to everyone who made this season a wonderful one!

Region Champions!

The Lady Lions Volleyball Team won the title of Region Champions Wednesday, October 22. The Lady Lions defeated host team St. George’s in three straight games to defend their title. Lindsey Allison and Callie West were named to the All Tournament Team, with Allison being named MVP of the tournament. Congratulations Lady Lions on a job well done!

Senior Night was Tuesday, October 14. Seniors: Lindsey Allison, Lindsey Copeland, Stephanie Wadlington and Callie West were honored, along with their parents, before their match with Catholic High School. Congratulations on a wonderful volleyball career, we are going to miss you next year!

The JV team went undefeated in regular season play finishing up their season last night with a win over Bishop Byrne. Way to go girls, we are so proud of you!

2 Schedule Changes

September 29th, 2008

The game scheduled for October 14 against Catholic is now being played at Harding instead of Catholic. The game times are JV at 6:00 and Varsity at 7:00 and it also will be Senior Night.
Another schedule change is the IC game has been rescheduled for October 13 at Harding. Varsity game only at 5:00.

JV Takes Second in Houston Tournament

2008 JV team, second place finish at Houston Tournament

The JV team went undefeated throughout the tournament until the championship match on Saturday night against host Houston. The match went to 3 games and to spite some terrific playing, the Lady Lions came up short and finished second overall.

Collierville Tournament

The Lady Lions Volleyball team competed in the Collierville Tournament on September 5 and 6. Out of the 10 teams present Harding finished second overall, playing in the championship match against host school Collierville. The All-Tournament players selected from Harding Academy were Lindsey Allison, Rebekah David and Callie West.

Varsity Volleyball Tournament

Come out and watch the Varsity Volleyball team play tonight and tomorrow in a tournament at Collierville High School. The games tonight are at 6:30 and 8:30. The games tomorrow are at 8:30 and 10:30 with tournament bracket play starting at 1:30. The girls have started their season with 4 straight wins, way to go!
