Monday–Work in Chapter 2, Transactions that Affect Owner’s Equity
Students will work on Application Problems 2-2, 2-3, and 2-4 Mastery
Students will complete the Chapter 2 Study Guide
Wednesday–Test over Chapters 1 & 2
Thursday–Begin work on Chapter 3, Analyzing Transactions into Debit and Credit Parts
Friday–1st opportunity for quiz over normal balances, increases and decreases of all accounts

COMPUTER APPLICATIONS–8/18 thru 8/22

All week students will be doing practice work on the keyboard. They have learned the keyboard by touch now they need to have lots of practice in order to really know it well. A test over computer basics will be given in a week or so.

Monday–Last day of study skills
Tuesday–Go over computer basics; begin learning the keyboard by touch
Wednesday-Friday–Learn the alphabetic keys and begin practice
Note: No grades will be given in this class for a couple of weeks. Students are learning a skill and it takes time to master the keyboard.

KEYBOARDING–8/12 thru 8/15

Welcome to Keyboarding! This rotation class will teach you how to type without looking, how to do basic formatting in Word, how to type papers, and how to find information on the Internet. You will build some typing speed which will help you when your other classes visit the West Computer lab for projects and papers.

For this class you will need a thumb drive. Please check the Harding homepage for specific guidelines on choosing one that will be compatible with our computers.

Monday: Fill out student questionnaire
Tuesday: Go over syllabus
Wednesday - Friday: Study skills basics presented by various teachers and other staff

Welcome to Accounting! What you learn in this class will benefit you for a lifetime. You will need to have a basic calculator, lots of pencils, and a thumb drive for this class. Welcome to Computer Applications! You will learn to type rapidly, accurately, and without looking at the keys. This class will prepare you well for your time spent in the other computer lab, typing papers at home, and even for an entry-level college computer class.

Wednesday: Begin learning computer basics and the keyboard by touch
Thursday - Friday: Learn the keyboard by touch
