SENIOR BIBLE9-22-We started a study of the three major temptations of Christ and talked about the 3 major interpretations of the temptations. We also talked about the principle of relevance for us in each temptation of Christ.9-23-We read ch. 7 from the book, Who Is This Jesus?9-24-We will finish the relevance of the 3 major temptations of Christ for us. We will also study what the Bible says about how Christians are to deal with temptations.I will have each student elaborate on the 3 major temptations that young people face today.9-25-Students will lead in prepared devotionals.9-26-We will go over chs. 5&6 from the book,Who Is This Jesus?7th PERIOD BIBLE9-22-Each student read and answered questions from chs. 4&5 from the book ,A Newcomer’s Guide to the Bible.9-23-We will begin our study of Abraham from Genesis 12-25. Special emphasis will be given to the strengths and weaknesses of his faith.9-24-We will finish our study of Abraham and see a video on the promised land9-25-We will read Ch. 8 from A Purpose Driven Life and discuss it.9-26-We will study the two major theophanies of Jacob and talk about dreams.

SENIOR BIBLE9-15-We discussed Chs.3&4 from the book,Who is This Jesus? Ten good questions about Jesus from the four Gospels were assigned for Wednesday.9-16-We studied the baptism of Jesus and the purpose of a Christian’s baptism. We also saw a portion of a film entitled , The Jesus I Never Knew.9-17-Memory quiz #6 and we discussed the 10 good questions about the Life of Christ from the four gospels.9-18-Students will lead in devotionals for the class.7th PERIOD BIBLE9-15-We studied Genesis 9-11.9-16-We studied the 3 great promises of God to Abraham and reviewed for Wednesday’s test.9-17-Test over Genesis 4-12.9-18-We will read chs.6&7 from A Purpose Driven Life and discuss it in class.

SENIOR BIBLE9-8-We finished the birth narratives of Jesus Christ and reviewed for the test on Wednesday.9-9-Reports and devotionals were given in class by students.9-10-Test over class notes and the birth narratives of Jesus Christ.9-11-We read in class chs. 5&6 from the book ,Who Is This Jesus?9-12-Memory quiz over Mt.5:48 and The Lord’s Prayer fro Mat. 6:9-13. We will also see video about Sepphoris.7TH PERIOD9-8-We finished studying Genesis 2.9-9-We studied about the fall of man from Genesis 3 and the impact of it for our lives.9-10-Open Bible and open note test over Genesis 1-3.9-11-We will read chs. 4&5 from A Purpose Driven Life and discuss it in class.A quiz over Genesis 6-9 will be given on Friday.9-12-Quiz over Gen.6-9 and then we will study Gen. 5-9.

SENIOR BIBLE9-2-08-We studied the birth of Jesus Christ from Matthew 1 and Luke 2:1-40.9-3-08-We will talk about giving to the Village of Hope and go over chs.1&2 from the book,Who is this Jesus?9-4-08-We will read chs.3&4 from the book, Who is This Jesus?9-5-08-Memory quiz #4 and we will see a video by Philip Yancey entitled, The Jesus I Never Knew.7th PERIOD BIBLE9-2-08-We finished up an article called ,Why did God Create?9-3-08-We will break up into discussion groups and talk about three major truths from Genesis 1.9-4-08-We will read ch.3 from a Purpose Driven Life and discuss it.We will finish up Genesis 2.9-5-08-We will study Genesis 3.

SENIOR BIBLE8-25-We will begin with a prayer and the we will review the books of the Bible according to category. A test will occur on Friday of this week over the books of the Bible. The books need to be spelled correctly and placed in the proper category.8-26-We will go to the computer lab and continue to work on our devotional/reports.8-27-We will study about the major strands of messianic prophecies in the OT and the timeline for the life of Christ.8-28-We will study about the birth of Christ from Matthew and Luke’s account. We will also have a cumulative quiz today instead of Friday because of the test on Friday.8-29-Test over all the books of the Bible according to category.7th PERIOD BIBLE8-25-We will begin with a prayer and continue our study of Genesis 1&2.8-26-We will read chapter 2 from A Purpose Driven Life and discuss it in class.8-27-We will study Genesis 3 and talk about the temptation of Eve and the fall of mankind.8-28-We will finish up Genesis 3 and the fall of mankind.8-29-We will read an article on Why God created the world?

8-18-We will see a movie entitled,My Truth,Your Truth, Whose Truth.
8-19-We will discuss the movie and choose our devotional topic.
8-20-Each student will develop 3 lessons from their devotional topic. We will also begin our discussion of faith.
8-21-We will go to the computer lab and research our devotional/report.
8-22-We will read chapters 1&2 from the book ,Who is this Jesus?

7th PERIOD BIBLE

8-18-We will discuss the nature of biblical faith and it’s rewards.
8-19-We will talk about the background materials for Genesis 1&2.
8-20-We will study Genesis 1&2.
8-21-We will continue our study of Genesis 1&2.
8-22-We will read an article on Why God created the earth and us?

Senior Bible

8-12-Welcome to Senior Bible, prayer,seating chart, and go over syllabus. Mention that Friday a picture is due of each student for my bulletin board. The picture should be of the student from ages 2-12 years of age.
8-13-Prayer,finish syllabus,mention Friday’s quiz, and handout student handbook. I will go over selected sections of the student handbook. I will also handout a student information sheet and explain.
8-14-I will give a handout entitled,”What about me?” I will spend time getting to know the students.
8-15- Quiz over the location of the birth narratives of Jesus Christ. Pictures are due from the students.

7th period Bible

8-12-Welcome to class,prayer,seating chart, and go over syllabus.I will mention that we will have a test over the OT books according to category,in order and spelled correctly.I will mention that a picture is due from each student on Friday. The picture should be of them when they were between the ages of 2-12.
8-13-Prayer,finish syllabus,and handout student handbook. I will go over selected sections of the handbook. I will handout a student information sheet and explain it’s purpose.I will teach the OT books according to category.
8-14-I will spend time getting to know the students through a handout called “What about me?”
8-15-Test over the OT books according to category in order and spelled correctly. Pictures are duetoday. 

SENIOR BIBLE4-21-We read chs. 3&4 from “But Don’t All Religions Lead to God?”4-22-We discussed chs. 3&4 from the book, “But Don’t All Religions Lead to God?” We also discussed the pluralists,inclusivists,and exclusivists positions regarding the question ,”Is Jesus Christ the only way to eternal life with God?”4-23-We will read chs.5-7 from the book, “But Don’t All Religions Lead to God?”4-24-We will discuss chs.5-7 from the book we read on the previous day. I will point out six unique aspects of the person of Jesus Christ.4-25-We will read chs. 8-10 from the book,” But Don’t All Religions Lead to God?”7th PERIOD BIBLE4-21-We reviewed for the test over Romans 12&13 on Wednesday. We also studied Romans 12.4-22-We studied Romans 13 and talked about the issue whether a Christian should fight in a war.4-23-Test over Romans 12&13.4-24-We will read Romans 14 and answer questions over the chapter.4-25-We will read Romans 15&16 and answer questions over those chapters.
